28th JULY – 10th SEPTEMBER 2023 – 100 YEARS OF AUTOMOTIVE PASSION IN ROMAGNA

On the occasion of the summer tourist season, the Motor Valley Show Room at the Checco Costa Museum within the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola reopens to the public with the exhibition “100 Years of Automotive Passion in Romagna.”
Through the display of vintage vehicles and digital photos, the exhibition aims to narrate the passion for Motorsport in a territory, Romagna, which continues to burn intensely even today and evoke the protagonists and the most significant automotive events of the last hundred years of history.
A fundamental starting point is represented by the Circuito del Savio, the first “circuit” race held in Romagna in 1923, where Enzo Ferrari won his first victory at the wheel of an Alfa Romeo. A symbolic victory because that day Ferrari, still a driver, met for the first time the Baracca family from whom he would later inherit the Cavallino Rampante, which became the unmistakable symbol of Ferrari worldwide.
In addition, some iconic cars that made Formula 1 history will be exhibited, with a dedicated area for AlphaTauri, all enriched by digital images projected on screens showing the evolution of the Imola track. At the Museum Shop, it will also be possible to purchase the celebratory book “Imola, il romanzo dell’autodromo” (Imola, the novel of the racetrack), a work by Pino Allievi that is part of the “machina” collection by FormulaPassion.it, edited by Mauro Coppini, and coordinated by Antonio Azzano, created to celebrate the 70 years of the Enzo e Dino Ferrari International Race Track.
The exhibition will be open to the public until Sunday, September 10th. During the Historic Minardi Day and the Imola Mostra Scambio, admission will be included in the event ticket. On other days, the entrance ticket will be 10 euros with free admission for children under 12 years old.
